MEET Robin, the cute “layby baby”.
The little girl was born in the back seat of a BMW car on Calderdale Way, Elland, after her mum Katy, of Oakes, went into labour.
And she was delivered by her quick-think grandmother, Vicky Haigh, who was taking Katy and her partner Jason Haigh to hospital in the early hours.
Mum and baby are still recovering in Calderdale Royal Hospital, Halifax but they are expected home shortly after the drama of Robin’s surprise arrival two weeks early.
