ALAN Boothroyd keeps on clocking up the miles – and supporters.

The Huddersfield man’s attempt to run almost 1,000 miles in just 20 consecutive days has astounded many.

And with the first few days tucked under his belt, the only problem the Lascelles Hall man has had to contend with is the pace he’s set on the road from Lands End to John O’Groats marathon route. Apparently it’s fast.

Town fan Alan is raising money for the Keep It Up campaign, Huddersfield Town’s fundraiser for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the club’s Academy.

His epic run is being fuelled by determination plus lots of pasta, rice, peanut butter bagels and energy bars.

Doubtless what would make those 940 miles easier for this one man running machine would be to see a few more financial pledges to help Alan hit his £50,000 target.

While his feet do the running, let your fingers do the giving – via the internet.
