SIGNS are that spring is on the way.

So what better time could Yorkshire Water have chosen to announce the completion of work at two popular reservoir sites which will provide better access to walkers.

The company has spent £80,000 renovating footpaths around Ingbirchworth and Scout Dike. The work will open up areas which, in parts, have been less than easy to negotiate, particularly after heavy rain.

This is a great chance for more people to get out into our beautiful countryside and enjoy the views and the wildlife.

What we would all hope is that the paths become well-used and, just as importantly, well respected and cared for.

That means if you take your dog along to share your walk clean up after it and don’t leave litter behind either.

The paths are there for all to enjoy so make sure you don’t spoilt it for others.
