HE is an inspirational little boy.

A four-year-old from Skelmanthorpe whose courage has remained undimmed almost two years after he was first diagnosed with leukaemia.

Cobie Booth was honoured for his bravery at the Examiner Community Awards last June. He had the audience on its feet, applauding a small boy with a mop of blonde hair and the biggest grin possible.

Now his family is delighted that the bright, happy youngster has achieved another milestone on the road to recovery. He’s started school.

Apparently Cobie couldn’t be happier. He’s among his many friends, he’s reading, writing and drawing and doing all the things that four-year-olds do.

According to his mum, Cobie has never let his illness hold him back

His positive attitude and sunny nature are a lesson to us all. We wish him well.
