THEY are cool, some of them look like works of art.

We are talking cameras here and of the non-digital kind. Nick Parker and Tom Horton are the latest pair of entrepreneurial students from Huddersfield University who have come up with an innovative idea and are making a business out of it. They are the ones who think analogue is cool.

Digital cameras may have made us all into happy snappers but the purists still like their analogue cameras for clarity, definition and some say, a warmer image.

Whatever the comparative value on technicalities, these two young men have snapped up a corner of the market and are selling not just on-line but over the counter in their own shop at Queensgate Market.

It is further proof of the university’s pioneering attitude towards innovative ideas and that there are still opportunities for those willing to spot a niche and build on it.
