HUDDERSFIELD has made a name for itself on this year’s X Factor.
And it’s thanks to three of the contenders who made it to be in with the chance of appearing in the live finals.
Ashford Campbell, Jordan Higo and Carolynne Poole all featured as star singers in the hunt for a new musical star.
And while Carolynne just missed out on a place in the finals, the trio have shown that Huddersfield definitely has the X Factor where music is concerned.
By sheer coincidence, Ashford and Jordan were put together in band Nu Vibe and were last night told they were through to the Saturday night live shows.
And they’re bound to be flying the flag for Huddersfield over the coming weeks as they battle to be crowned X Factor winners.
There are critics of the programme, but for the three singers it has given them an opportunity to show what they’re capable of – an opportunity not easily accessible for unknown musicians and singers trying to make it in a tough industry.
And they come from a town with a rich heritage of music, from brass music to up and coming rock artists.
Lets hope Ashford and Jordan can go all the way to the finals and do themselves, their family and Huddersfield proud.
And lets get behind them and create two popstars Huddersfield can be proud of.
