THE Huddersfield group of the Institute of Advanced Motorists heard an interesting and amusing talk from Frank Wright on being an Amateur Auctioneer.
Frank was a butcher by trade, but felt he had more to give. He was a member of the Huddersfield scooter club called the Huddersfield Luddites Scooter Club.
His first auction was for the harvest festival at his local church. This went down well so he tried his hand at house clearance auctions.
All through his talk of the auctions he conducted he gave several hilarious anecdotes of his experiences before, during and after the auctions themselves.
The next IAM meeting is next Monday (September 7) at The Royal British Legion Club, Scar Lane, Golcar (7.30 for 8pm) when Dudley Martin the IAM examiner will be guest speaker. All welcome.
