Huddersfield MP Barry Sheerman has been impressed with teaching and learning at a Fartown School, during a visit on Friday.

Mr Sheerman has previously visited North Huddersfield Trust School when it opened in 2011 and was pleased to call in to see an update on how things have continued to improve.

Head Teacher Loz Wilson was thrilled to welcome Mr Sheerman and gave him a tour of the school.

And the Huddersfield MP was keen to share his visit with his followers on Twitter, posting: “Impressive visit to North Huddersfield Trust School, dedicated staff, great leadership, wonderful students.”

Head Teacher Mr Loz Wilson, Head Teacher said: “We are always proud to show off our school and the fact that such a high profile visitor has taken an active interest in our journey is a fantastic endorsement of our work. Mr Sheerman spoke to many of our staff and students and without exception, received a warm NHTS welcome”.
