THE team behind the children’s hospice in Brackenhall have already shown their commitment to the massive fundraising project to get it open.

The Forget Me Not Trust hospice has needed £2.5m so far to get it ready for its first patient.

But it needs a similar amount every year to ensure the team can provide the vital care to children with terminal and life-limiting illnesses.

The work done so far cannot be underestimated for the families who will depend on the service, but the support must continue and the hospice now has the backing of a major local company.

Mamas and Papas has lent its support in the long-term by helping to furnish the hospice and has pledged to play a vital role with fundraising.

It’s a brilliant commitment by the company to its Huddersfield roots and let’s hope others follow suit.
