A VOLUNTEER is needed to keep a water taxi service afloat.
The Marsden Shuttle barge carries passengers on the 12-minute journey between the village railway station and Standedge Tunnel on Sundays and bank holidays between April and October.
The service, which is run by Huddersfield Canal Society, can carry up to 12 people at a time.
The group is now looking for a volunteer to organise the crew rota next year. The role is unpaid but expenses are covered.
