MP goes to work on the factory floor

DEWSBURY and Mirfield Tory MP Simon Reevell saw life on the factory floor.

Mr Reevell visited Michelin’s Stoke plant to gain an insight into the automotive manufacturing industry.

The visit formed part of Mr Reevell’s IPT Fellowship where he will spend five days with Michelin, one at Stoke visiting the commercial HQ and production facilities.

The remaining four days will be split across other areas including personnel, purchasing, sales and marketing.

IPT Fellowships are designed to give MPs a personal insight into business and industry, and the problems and challenges of the UK economy.

Michelin was chosen because of its long standing commitment to Britain.
