MUMS enjoyed a well-deserved night off and raised money for charity.

The Outlane Baby and Toddler Group held the fundraising night in aid of the Joseph Salmon Trust.

The group of 35 mums gathered at Outlane Bowling Club for a disco, drinks and buffet supper.

Profits from the sale of tickets and the raffle raised over £180. It will be given to the Marsh-based charity, which helps bereaved parents.

Voluntary group helper Liz Howe said: “We were so pleased to see lots of the local mums letting their hair down on a fun night out.

“Many of the mums that come to the group are juggling jobs as well as looking after children, so a night off does us all the world of good.

“The group is voluntary run by a few dedicated mums and we were delighted to raise some money for the trust, a local charity close to our hearts. The group meets Tuesdays during school term times at Outlane Methodist Church.
