THE Birdsedge and High Flatts village magazine has a new editor (writes E&C news correspondent).
After nearly 10 years of writing, editing and typesetting – and also six years also printing Village Voice – Jacey Bedford has handed over duties to Alison Tribe, a Denby Dale parish councillor.
Jacey, who will continue to do the typesetting and layout said : “I’d like to thank everyone who has helped get Village Voice from my computer to your letterbox over those 10 years, especially Steve Ashton for the all-weather trudging, above and beyond the call of duty.”
Now there are moves to email the magazine to householders with the appropriate home facilities to cut out some of the foot slogging and paper. The Birdsedge Village Hall Committee has also agreed to fund posting the magazine to the more remote homes in the circulation area.
