STUDENTS from North Huddersfield Trust School finished off the summer term with a prize-giving evening.

The event was held at Huddersfield Town Hall earlier this month and also acted as a celebration of the first year as North Huddersfield Trust School.

"The students dressed in their uniforms and were a real credit to the school", said a school spokesman.

Parents, students, guests and staff were entertained by the school's very own steel band, a performance from Year 11 BTEC Performing Arts students and a presentation about 'A year in the life of North Huddersfield Trust School'.

Huddersfield Town Football Club chairman Dean Hoyle and Huddersfield Town Football Club Ambassador Andy Booth both gave inspirational speeches which were well received by the students.
