STUNNED residents in a quiet Huddersfield street have been asked if they want to sell their homes.
An unknown developer is trying to buy up homes in Mountbatten Gardens, Oakes, as part of a commercial scheme.
It is believed the scheme centres on the nearby Oakes Mill.
But as yet, nobody has revealed what the plans could entail, although it is believed it may be a retail development.
Most of the 30 residents have received letters from a firm based in South Yorkshire asking them if they are interested in a deal.
Councillors are trying to find out more about the plans.
