PENISTONE Line Partnership walkers are aiming to complete a walk they started a year ago.
The intrepid hikers will set out on the Penistone Line Trail Part VI next Saturday and are hoping to reach the end this time after failing to do so last year.
The final stage following ‘The Trail’ sets out from Brockholes and heads off via all stations Honley, Berry Brow, Lockwood to finish at Huddersfield and a well deserved pint.
The eight mile walk, led by Stuart Parker, starts at 9.40am at Brockholes.
The linking trains leave Huddersfield at 9.13am and Sheffield at 8.36am.
Then on Saturday, February 5 the partnership, in co-operation with the Kirklees Countryside Volunteers, is organising a 10 mile walk By Birdsedge, Butterley and Berry Banks !
The route heads west to reach 1,000ft above sea level, then drops down to potter through Holme Valley scenery to Brockholes.
The leader will be Liz Colquhoun.
Walkers should meet at 9.40am at Denby Dale and the walk will finish in Brockholes.
Connecting trains leave Huddersfield at 9.13am and Sheffield at 8.36am.

The group operates regular guided walks on the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle and Leeds-Morecambe routes and Sunday walks on the Caldervale Line.
