POLE MOOR Riding Club took part in a Christmas ride for the child members on Monday this week.

Sarah Morris planned the fun-ride and the happy children in fancy dress met at Bolster Moor Farm Shop, by kind invitation of the owners.

Club member Maz Bradley said: “Hot drinks and delicious food was served and rosettes given to the fancy dress winners before they enjoyed a trot around the quiet lanes at Bolster Moor.

“Luckily the weather was kind that day for the children, as the older members’ charity pub fancy dress ride before Christmas had to be cancelled due to snow and ice.

“Hopefully there will be another charity ride when the weather improves.”

The joint winners of the fancy dress were brothers Rueben and Daniel Fielder, from Salendine Nook, riding Doodles and little Freddy.
