CHILDREN at Rowley Lane Junior Infant and Nursery School have become university graduates.

The whole school has been given a national award from the University of the First Age, a national charity which aims to improve learning and key skills.

A special day was organised to celebrate the award.

It started with a healthy breakfast for children and parents and included a range of challenging activities throughout the day, including thinking and problem solving.

Children also learned about relaxation techniques and peer massage.

The day culminated with an open afternoon for parents to find out more about what children had been learning.
