My Town talk

IF I could give the talk to the Town lads in the dressing room at Wembley today, this is what I’d be saying.

“When you walk into the dressing rooms of Wembley Stadium and you see your kit hung up on your peg you change into it – you are playing for Huddersfield Town.

“You are professional football players wearing the colours of Huddersfield, the team you chose, the team you believe in, the team to be proud of, the fans to proud of.

“It is your club, your love, your job. You go out there onto the Wembley turf and kiss the crest of Huddersfield Town that is proudly stitched to your shirt as you come from the tunnel.

“Believe! You can do this. Do it for yourself. Do it for the team. Do it for the whole club. Do it for the town but most importantly , do it for your fans .

“They believe in you. Get in the Town Huddle, one for all, all for one, we are Town. Let’s do this. No retreat and certainly no surrender.

“Come on Huddersfield.”

I’d love to be there today but I am having to work all day at Moldgreen so I can’t go to the match. But this is what I’d have told the lads if I’d been there.
