ELLAND Probus Club will have a recycled president in 2013-14 with retired businessman Norman Dyson at the helm.

Mr Dyson, who filled the role in 2001, has accepted the chance to lead the popular club once again. He was installed by his predecessor, retired Methodist minister John Chilton.

Joe Braithwaite was elected vice-president, and other officers were re-elected: Bryan Crossley, secretary, Martin Crickmore, treasurer, Ian O’Connor, speaker finder, Fred Williams, social secretary, Derek Gledhill, press officer and John Sykes, auditor.

The committee will be the officers plus Frank Broadhead, Gordon Landall, Keith Iredale, Irwin Smith and Alan Thomas.

The club meets twice a month on Tuesdays at 10.30am at Elland Working Men’s Club on Rosebery Street in Elland.
