COMMUNITY spirit was to the fore in Lepton.
Residents in the Rowley Hill area got together to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and have now donated £2,500 to a Huddersfield charity.
They collected the money with a series of attractions including cake stalls, a band concert, bingo and children’s games when they got together at Rowley Hill Club.
The event was organised by Beverley Shaw.
The money was handed over to the Forget me Not Trust, who are running a children’s hospice in Brackenhall.
