THERE were lots of delighted faces when Santa dropped in to town.

The great man himself was in his Christmas grotto in Rawthorpe for two evenings meeting and chatting to the youngsters and handing out some exciting presents.

Cat Willetts, the extended school's co-ordinator, based at Netherhall Learning Campus in Rawthorpe, said:

“The grottos were held on Monday and Tuesday, December 17 and 18 in our community area, which is based on the high school site.

“We had over 100 families visit us.

“The funding I got to run the grotto was from Comic Relief,” he added
