SCHOOLCHILDREN have been showing off their drawing skills in a competition run by Thomas Cook in Holmfirth.

The store challenged pupils from Scholes School, Upperthong School, Hade Edge School, Holme School and Wooldale School to draw and colour a London 2012 Olympic Games inspired picture.

Faye Atkins, eight, from Wooldale School, Sky-blue Branson, five, from Scholes School, and Dion Oxley, nine, from Wooldale School, were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals respectively by Kirklees Mayor Eric Firth, on May 3.
