HOLME Valley District Scouts held a weekend camp at Fan Wood Activity Centre and Campsite, Gomersal as part of the District's 85 year celebrations.
The 145 youngsters formed mixed teams and took a series of 15 challenges under the theme of ‘endangered species’.
The objective of the camp was to collect the most points over the weekend.
Adventurous activities on offer included archery, a ladder climb, low ropes, indoor cave, a ‘nite’ line, ‘bouldering’ wall and shooting.
On Saturday 28 Beavers from three groups visited for the day to sample the outdoor activities and make masks and bookmarks.
District Commissioner Kevin Johns declared almost half the district’s members had enjoyed the camp and nearly every section of the region’s six groups had been involved.
The camp was closed by Neil Leatherland, West Yorkshire County Commissioner.
A special 85-year commemorative badge was designed by Jackie Sill and given to each member.(zzhud071009scout)
