Scouts seeing the light

MARSDEN Explorer Scouts were up bright and early today outside Marsden Mechanics’ Hall on Peel Street to put up Christmas illuminations they have made themselves.

MARSDEN Explorer Scouts were up bright and early today outside Marsden Mechanics’ Hall on Peel Street to put up Christmas illuminations they have made themselves.

Rachel Ellis from Kirklees College has been organising workshops to design and make community led Christmas lights.

This year a community group has worked alongside Marsden Explorer Scouts who have included their logo as part of the celebration of 50 years of Scouting in Marsden.

A picture/news feature of today’s event will appear in the Express and Chronicle section of the Weekend Examiner next Saturday
