A SCULPTOR has played his part in his home village firm’s new project.

Shepley sculptor Dave Bradbury was asked by bottled water company Shepley Spring to create the moulds for their revolutionary new bottle.

Dave was tasked with creating a 3D version of designs by Jason Kirke from Lepton-based Blacksmith’s Design.

The 660ml bottle has now been mass produced and has sparked interest from major supermarkets and Team Sky cycling team.

Dave said: “Jason’s done a beautiful job of putting the images together.

“It’s a big leap forward in terms of ergonomic design.

“It fits in with your lifestyle.

“I’ve come in at the end of the project having to turn it into three dimensional form.

“It was a very delicate piece with some subtle nuances of water.

“It was very difficult to sculpt but I’m absolutely over the moon to be involved with the project.

“I was giddy as a kipper when I saw them coming off the production line.

“I’m really chuffed with it.”
