Sniffing out prizes
MORE than two dozen children sniffed out prizes in a village Diamond Jubilee trail. The youngsters in Skelmanthorpe were invited to try and crack a mystery code by visiting 44 businesses around Commercial Road. Each venue displayed a poster of a crown, along with a letter and a number revealing a mystery code which, when solved, read ‘Happy and glorious, long to reign over us, God Save the Queen.’ 26 winning entries were chosen and the jubilant prize winners were presented with their prizes by organisers Frances Priestnall and Deacon Jane Paine from Skelmanthorpe Methodist Church.
