Colne Valley workers put in the miles to raise money for two crucial local campaigns.
Staff from Slaithwaite family firm, Daval Furniture, put pedal to the metal to clock up over £1,300 in the fifth annual Pedal 4 Pounds challenge.
Hosted by Huddersfield Town Football Club, they joined the 250 mile race to raise vital funds for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and The Town Academy, which have now topped over £1.2million since the fund began. Paul and James Bodsworth, and Dean Weavill of Daval took part in the gruelling course, which saw cyclists ride from the Arsenal Emirates Stadium to the Huddersfield Town Stadium in just four days.
Marketing and Development Manager, Simon Bodsworth, said: “Daval is keen to support a number of charities and we were especially excited to get involved with the Keep it Up Campaign as it is a local cause benefiting local charities.
“Dean, James and Paul did a great job on the bike ride and raised over £1,300 for the charity which we are all very proud of.
“We’re looking forward to getting involved in more charitable events throughout the year.”<p/>
