A new social and support group for parents and babies has been launched in Elland.
The group, called Baby Chums, meets at The Edge Play Gym and Café in Park Road, and is led by qualified nursery practitioner Maryann Cox a member of the team at the adjacent Water’s Edge Children’s Day Nursery.
Nursery owner Joanne Wood said: “We’ve set up Baby Chums for mums, dads and their babies so they can meet new friends and to give them the opportunity to seek advice, help and support from each other as well as from the qualified nursery practitioners on hand at the nursery.
“The group is really friendly and fun. We have lots of activities, songs, games and play. It’s also great for the babies to socialise with each other and for the parents to have a good old chinwag too.”
Baby Chums meets every Tuesday from 9-11am for the under twos with their parent/carer. There is a charge of £1 per child. Visit www.watersedgechildrensnursery.co.uk .
