TOWN fans emerged victorious in a fundraising sports quiz.
And their hero of the hour was 11-year-old Billy Charlton, of Dalton, who delighted his team with his overall knowledge and a string of correct answers.
Billy was one of the Town fans taking part in the Town Foundation fundraising event ‘A Question of Sport’ at Canalside.
They defeated a Town Directors’ team which included Dean Hoyle, Nigel Clibbens and Sean Jarvis.
Renowned ex-Premier League Referee Jeff Winter was the host for an evening which also included a supper and live music by King Mondays.
There was also a raffle and an auction and the evening raised £2,000 for the foundation.
Every pound that comes into the foundation will be doubled by foundation trustee Dean Hoyle.
And no administration or business costs will be taken from the fundraising pot.
Once money is collected, it will be used to fund projects and initiatives that will directly benefit the young people of Huddersfield and the surrounding area, particularly those youngsters who need the most support.
