THE Kirklees Countryside Volunteers have organised the following walks and tasks for November.

Tomorrow, Sunday November 8 Linthwaite Revisited – Conservation tasks. Meet the volunteers at 9.30am in the Old Bank car park (between the church and canal), Slaithwaite (Grid Ref. SE 078 139) or 10am on site at Lees Mill Lane, Linthwaite (Grid Ref. SE 091 141).

Next Saturday November 14 – North from Shepley. An eight miles ‘medium’ linear walk. Meet Tony at 9.35 am at Shepley Railway Station (Grid Ref. SE 197 102). The route takes in field paths, lanes and a wood, ending at Mirfield Railway Station.

Sunday, November 22 – House, Hill and Hall. A six mile ‘easy’ walk. Meet David at 10am at the car park adjacent to Red House Museum, Oxford Road (A651), Gomersal (Grid Ref. SE 207 263) for a Sunday stroll in Kirklees’s Brontë country.

Saturday, November 28 – To Marsden and Back. This is an eight to nine mile ‘medium’ walk. Meet Malcolm at 10am outside Marsden Railway Station. (Grid Ref. SE 047 118). The walk features moorland conduits and reservoirs.
