PARENTS and carers are being warned not to purchase stolen Mamas & Papas highchairs.

Police were alerted after the theft in Colne Bridge on November 27, when thieves cut a hole in the side of a lorry and removed the items.

They made off with 35 Siesta high chairs which are sold on the company’s website at £199.95.

Officers are urging people not to buy the high chairs if approached by anyone selling the items but to contact police.

A spokesman for the chain said: “Mamas & Papas are currently investigating the situation that occurred on Tuesday November 27.

“We can confirm a vehicle was broken into close to our Huddersfield distribution centre outside of our secure perimeter and we are working closely with the police on this matter.”
