Stores line up to plan for Holmfirth.

ANOTHER retail giant is looking at Holmfirth.

The supermarket group Sainsbury’s have confirmed they have an “interest” in the area but said there were no definite plans.

But it is believed the group are looking at a possible mini store in the Riverside shopping complex – once home to a Lodges supermarket.

Other plans in the past for the Holme Valley have come from Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose and Lidl.
