A HIGH Five netball tournament was organised on Monday March 30 by school sports co-ordinators Anna Dinapoli and Liz Kendall.

Taking part were year 6 pupils from Rawthorpe, King James’s and Almondbury schools.

Eight teams from various schools arrived ready to play and eager to win.

The eight teams were split into two sections, with every team playing each other in their section.

Each game lasted five minutes with two minutes to rotate their positions half way.

Section A winners, Moldgreen A, went on to play Section B runners up, Netherhall juniors in their semi-final and Section A runners up Rowley Lane A went on to play Section B winners, Kirkheaton in their semi final.

The final was between Moldgreen A team and Rowley Lane A team.

In a close and hard-fought contest, Moldgreen A team just managed to grab victory by a 3-1 margin.
