Police are investigating after two men allegedly dragged a horse from the back of a car until it collapsed and died.
Police were called to fields near Kilroyd Drive, Cleckheaton, at about 1.10pm on Saturday and found the animal had died.
Officers are investigating after reports two men chased the horse around the fields in a white Mitsubishi 4x4 before allegedly dragging it behind the moving vehicle until it collapsed and died.
A post mortem will now be conducted to determine the cause of death of the animal and officers have notified the RSPCA who are leading the investigation.
