A FEW weeks ago I was an outpatient at Elm Wood health centre in Holmfirth. The care and the treatment were outstanding, from the office staff to the nurses and surgeons Mr Jagger and Mr Finney. I can’t offer enough praise. I am an old lady of 83 and deaf, too, not a good combination to take to such a place.

The centre was doing small operations to ease the waiting times at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary; I had read about it in the Examiner.

So thanks again to all of you. You can be proud of that centre.
