YET another nail in the coffin for Milnsbridge, with the withdrawal of the 305 Blackmoorfoot bus service.

This is the only bus that enables people from Cowlersley and Linthwaite to visit the local shops, post offices and banks. The services that Milnsbridge provides are gradually being diminished as small businesses are forced to close due to lack of investment in this area.

If the bus service is withdrawn I feel sure that all business in Milnsbridge will be seriously affected. I feel rather sad that the local council do not appear to be bothered about Milnsbridge.

Milnsbridge, they say, is a conservation area. What’s the point of a conservation area when there soon will be nothing left to conserve?

We need to encourage people to come to Milnsbridge, not force then into town or elsewhere!
