VOCAL Expressions Ladies’ Choir has raised £1,500 for Holmbridge Parish Hall.
The hall, where the choir rehearses, has become in need of urgent repairs.
So the choir held a fundraising day earlier in the year with other groups that use the facility, including Holmbridge Women’s Institute, dance groups and schools.
This was followed later in the year by a celebratory Harvest Supper involving choir members and friends, schools and parents, and the community.
An evening of entertainment was followed by a supper cooked and served by choir members.
The money will be used to buy comfortable chairs for the hall to complement other improvements including to the roof, curtains and decor.
Vocal Expressions plays at The Fleece Inn, Holme, on December 19 (7.30pm) and The Royal Oak, Upperthong, on December 20 (7.30pm).
