HOW refreshing to read the story of Adam Tonge (Examiner November 27). Rather than throwing a “sickie” Adam stuck to his post, showing great initiative in his attitude to customer care by showing his sign to customers when he’d lost his voice.

I have passed through Adam’s checkout several times and have always found him a helpful, chatty and informative young man.

To senior management at Sainsburys; keep your eye on this guy, he’s after your job!
