LOCAL Kirkburtoner Sam Cullingworth has a good part in the new Bronson film.

I wish him well but, I hope we don’t forget the other local, Phil Danielson, who is better known to us as Phil Dan.

Phil, who now lives in Warrington, was in the Co-op Players in the 80s, along with my daughter Louise.

He was the former head of education at Hull prison, where Bronson took him hostage and led him around with a skipping rope tied round his neck for 44 hours, in 1999.

We can’t imagine the distress he suffered due to this self-centred bully.

This film will only serve the ego of Charles Bronson and help him to justify his nasty existence.
