HIDDEN talents of year six pupils at Upperthong Junior and Infants School were revealed in their farewell stage performance.

More than 30 pirates and sailors filled the school stage and gave a memorable performance of Treasure Island to parents and grandparents.

Year six teacher Kate Platt has been teaching at the school for 12 years.

“I could not be more proud of the children,’’ she said. “They have worked their socks off for this performance.

“I have done hundreds of performances and this one has been the best one we have ever done. I am so pleased with the way it has turned out.”

“The children have just taken to it. Everybody had at least one line and then there was lots of singing. My family even came along to watch.”
