Young footballers donned poppies to play.

Clifton Rangers Under-11 A team supported the Poppy Appeal by wearing them on their kits.

At their League Cup fixture on Remembrance Sunday against Northowram Rams, the Clifton youngsters also held a minute silence before kick off.

They went on to win 7-4, with scorers Jay Chapman, Leon Enright, Ben Kirby, Alex Rawson two goals, Finnley Roderick and Xander Turton.

The club got involved in the ‘poppies for kits appeal’ thanks to Sangeeta Enright.

Clifton Rangers Football Club also held their annual Bonfire Night at the Towngate ground with a James Bond medley to accompany the fireworks.

Katrina Asquith, Clifton Rangers Social Committee Member, said: “Thank you to all club volunteers and the Clifton community for all their hard work.”
