Cling-on! Stanley and the web...

YOUNG visitors to Standedge Visitor Centre at Marsden have created an 8ft spider out of papier mache. Around 40 children and staff have been involved with the project and Stanley took pride of place on Hallowe’en. Stanley sits on a web crocheted out of recycled yarn. He will stay in place until Sunday this week when Standedge Tunnel and Visitor Centre will close for the winter. The spider project was one of four children’s activity workshops held over the Hallowe’en week. Others included pumpkin carving classes and Hallowe’en makeovers.
