CHILDREN raised hundreds of pounds to help boost a charity.

The Christmas craft and cake sale was held at Lindley Infant School.

Goodies on offer included hand-designed tote bags, homemade cakes, jewellery, cookery and cosmetics.

The event raised cash for The Joseph Salmon Trust.

It was held by the Lindley Parish Church 3rd Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.

Mum-of-three Jane Potter helped with the organisation and ran a raffle with prizes from local businesses

Money raised was given to the Marsh-based charity, which provides financial support to those who have lost a child.

The charity’s Neil Salmon said: “I’d like to thank all the leaders and children for their hard work and dedication.

“They made this such a successful event, raising a massive £510.61 for the Trust!”
