More fast food!
This certainly has a lot of you talking - plans are in place for two new Drive Thrus - including a Burger King - on Leeds Road.
But do we really need more fast food outlets?
Robert M Thorpe said on Facebook: “Four drive though restaurants within half a mile. Theres gonna be a lot of lazy fat people on Leeds Road!”
Natalie on Twitter said: “No thanks, rather have proper / healthier / independent food outlets and less litter.”
Others say they are excited for the new joints.
What do you think?

This is on the Chain Bar Interchange and affecting traffic leaving the M62 joining the M606.
Video from the scene
BBC’s Charles Heslett has tweeted this video from the scene:
Traffic reports suggest the road may not be open again until early evening. Buses on routes 590 and 592 are running short and turning at Modena Business Park.

Another travel update. Burnley Road in Hebden Bridge is CLOSED in both directions. There’s queueing traffic due to serious accident between Station Road for Hebden Bridge and Caldene Avenue, Mytholmroyd.
We’ve been informed that this is likely to remain closed well into the afternoon.

It’s blowing a reet gale out there...
If you’re heading eastbound, the previous incident between junction 19 and 20 has now been sorted with traffic clearing.
A thank you from police
Police have release an update and message of thanks after Calderdale pensioner Granville Muir was found yesterday.
Mr Muir was found safe and well, although a little dehydrated and fragile at 7.45pm on Wednesday in a field off of Scarr Bottom Road, Halifax.
He was taken to hospital where he is recovering well from his ordeal.
Superintendent Owen West of Calderdale District Police, said: “We were growing very concerned for Granville so I am delighted to report a happy ending. On behalf of the Calderdale District and Adele Muir (Granville’s daughter) I would like to thank everyone who helped in the search. It truly was a team effort with everyone working together on behalf of a vulnerable missing man.
“The fact that we have been able to return Granville to his children and grand children is thanks to that effort and hard work, with people going above and beyond to help.”
Speed camera back in use
A heads up to any Jeremy Clarkson wannabes in the Holme Valley area:
More M62 woes. There’s one lane closed and queueing traffic due to a broken down car on the eastbound carriage in the roadworks area between junction 19 (Heywood) and junction 20 for Rochdale. This is affecting traffic from Manchester towards Huddersfield.
You have all of Huddersfield behind you, Ed!

A date to put in your diaries...
Traffic has returned to normal on the M621 eastbound towards Leeds.
I wouldn’t get too excited about the weather today, folks. Highs of 17 degrees but otherwise grey and overcast. The barbecue can wait a few more days.
Yorkshire's first gold!
A massive well done to West Yorkshire lads Chris Mears and Jack Laugher who won the county’s first gold last night in the 3m dive.
Let’s see if Yorkshire can get on the medals board again.
Oh dear, more issues on the M621 at Gildersome but this time going eastbound. Traffic’s heavier than normal between leaving the M62 and junction 1, affecting journeys from Huddersfield to Leeds.
