He's one of the most psychotic men in Westeros — played by 'such a sweet guy'.
Ramsay Bolton, who has thought nothing of setting packs of dogs on innocent girls, flaying people alive and torturing Theon Greyjoy to the point where he forgot his own identity, is one of the cruellest, most demonic characters in Game of Thrones.
But according to Dean Jagger, who made his debut as Smalljon Umber in a sweary-scene last week, actor Iwan Rheon, who plays him, is a lovely bloke and far from the tyrant he portrays on screen.
"He's a great guy," said Dean, 37. "He's such a sweet guy, basically nothing like his character.
"He's a really gracious guy and an intense actor. He's a great actor."
He added that although Rheon's character Ramsay was clearly evil, he was still loved by fans.
"Iwan is really famous now," he said. "Wherever he goes he's spotted. People say that he's evil but at the same time, everybody loves the actual character. He's a villain but what would the show be without him?"
And, Dean added, it's not always so clear who's side you're on in the Game of Thrones Universe.
"There's a fine line between who is good and who is bad, he said.
