The Shelley actress let slip that she'd just seen some of season six and said it was 'beyond worth the agonizing wait'.. TRUST'.

Fans responded calling her a tease, told her to 'STOP IT' and 'WHAT', while one Twitter user despaired 'woman you're gonna kill me'.

It has been retweeted more than 5,000 times and liked by almost 10,000 people.

But Lena wasn't done messing with her fans.

She then tweeted: "I can tell you this..."

But quickly followed it up with: "Oh... SH*T! No I can't" and a further response "Oh SHAME on me".

The 'shame tweet was a reference to the last season of Game of Thrones, where her character Cersei was forced to complete a naked 'walk of shame' as punishment for her sins.

Game of Thrones returns to Sky Atlantic on April 25.
