DAVID Cameron attacked Lib Dem policy on immigration this morning in an attempt to stop the surge in support for the centre party.
The Conservative leader said the Lib Dem proposal to give an amnesty to people who entered the country illegally would only encourage more people to come to Britain.
The Tory leader added that the only way to bring about real change was to vote for his party.
He said: "I profoundly believe that if you want real, decisive change in our society; real, decisive change in our economy; and you want to sort out our political system, a decisive Conservative government will do it."
Mr Cameron’s remarks came after a new poll showed the Lib Dems leading on 33%, followed by the Conservatives on 32% and Labour on 28%
