A 10-YEAR-OLD boy managed to cling on to his grandad’s car keys after he was assaulted by a robber.

The youngster had been at a bonfire display in Paddock when he went to get something out of the car.

A youth demanded the keys, then pushed him over and hit him in the face, but was forced to flee empty-handed.

The attack happened at 7pm at Hill Top Road last Thursday, but details have only just been released by police.

He was between 17 and 25 years-old, about 5ft 7ins tall, Asian or Afro-Caribbean and was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.
