ONE hundred people were treated to their tea thanks to the community.
Donations meant 75 people aged over 55 enjoyed tea and a concert at an old folks’ treat at Holmfirth High School.
A further 25 people enjoyed dinner at their home as they were unable to get out.
Jane Rodgers, who helps organise the annual event, said: “It started in 1936 and we run it every year.
“It gives people over 55 the chance to get out, meet old friends for a catch up or make new friends.”
The event was for people in the New Mill, Scholes and Hepworth area.
